Woolmers Estate

Heritage Estate

Woolmers Estate is one of Australia’s most significant colonial properties, granted to Thomas Archer in 1817 and remaining in the same family for six generations. It is part of the Australian Convict Sites World Heritage listing, along with neighbouring Brickendon.

The National Rose Garden at Woolmers contains one of the finest collections of heritage roses in Australia, and in bloom it transforms the estate into something from another century. For couples who want their wedding setting to carry genuine historical weight, Woolmers is without peer in Tasmania.
