Lake St Clair

National Park

Lake St Clair is Australia’s deepest natural freshwater lake, cradled between the Central Plateau and the mountains of the southern Wilderness World Heritage Area. The water is still and dark, reflecting the surrounding forest and sky with extraordinary clarity.

The southern end of the park — the visitor centre, Cynthia Bay, and the shoreline tracks — offers accessible ceremony settings without requiring a major hike. For couples willing to venture further, the Overland Track begins here and the backcountry offers genuinely remote options.

Like all national park ceremonies, it requires booking through Parks Tasmania with at least four weeks’ notice. All guests need a valid park pass.
