Brickendon Estate

Heritage Estate

Brickendon Estate was established by William Archer in 1824 and is part of the Australian Convict Sites World Heritage listing. The farm village — with its church, workers’ cottages, barns, and gardens — has been maintained in near-original condition and gives an extraordinary sense of colonial Tasmania.

The estate offers accommodation in the heritage village cottages, allowing wedding parties to stay on site. The texture of the old stone and timber, the working farm surroundings, and the quality of light in the Longford plains make this one of Tasmania’s most visually rewarding wedding settings.
