Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens

Gardens

Established in 1818, the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens cover 13.5 hectares on the Queens Domain, with the Derwent River visible through the trees. The diversity of plantings — heritage collection, rose garden, Japanese garden, and subantarctic plant house — means every season brings a different character.

The gardens are available for private ceremonies and events, with a function centre on site. The setting rewards natural, documentary-style wedding videography: light through canopy, seasonal colour, and the quiet of a space that has been cultivated for over 200 years.
